18 canyons, 13 miles of hiking (starved rock state park)

Not often that I visit a state park with so many canyons, but one of my closest friends suggest we plan a hiking trip, so hike we did. Ten miles on day 1 (whew), three miles on day 2.

Starved Rock State Park in Oglesby, Illinois, was the place. A long leafy envelope of a forested area. You could get lost in here if it weren’t for the adequate trails and signage.
