As a scrappy kid, I loved Halloween for the candy. As an adult, I love Halloween for the spooky fun decorations, and wow, some homeowners go all out.
In Chicago’s Montclare neighborhood, we have a pirate ship run by… a skeleton crew.

There’s a skeleton captain garbed in a trench coat. A skeleton victim skewered on some type of artillery. A skeleton sailing master who must be responsible for the ship’s navigation.
Going out on a limb here, I think we have a skeleton quartermaster overseeing some poor skeleton soul in the gallows. And the piece de resistance has to be the mutineer skeleton walking the plank. So good, so spooky.
So fun.
