Headed west on a road trip this week and a tiny town called Lindsborg, KS (population 3,500) called out my name. (Or I thought it did.)
Lindsborg is affectionately known as Little Sweden, USA and was founded by immigrants from a western Swedish province called Värmland in 1869.
Dala horse sculptures and other Swedish themed objects adorn the historical town center.

Hemslöjd is a local store for stocking up on Swedish gifts or chatting with local woodworkers and artists in an adjoining workshop area.

Well worth a detour/visit if you’re heading west through Kansas. Lindsborg is a short drive (20 miles or so) from Salina on I-70.
A Dala Horse is better than a Trojan Horse.
Ha ha, I agree!
