Summer in my corner of Oak Park is not giving up on us… yet. This mountain of Black-eyed Susans is cheery to the max. And kind of dizzying to look at. So many blooms.
My mother, Mary, married in July. She picked Shasta Daisies as her bouquet. The Shasta is such a simple yet joyful flower, just like those Black Eyed Susans you pic’d. I just learned Black Eyed Susan is the State Flower of Maryland.
That had to be a lovely bouquet!
